Global Procurement
Being the newest division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Global Procurement (GP) officially started operations since Feb 2002 with 28 offices around the globe and established it’s Overseas Home Office in Shenzhen, China. Our focus is to source products with the best possible price and quality available to our consumers around the world.
WMGP has experienced consistent growth in the past five years and anticipated double digit growth in direct imports for the coming years. In line with our continuous global expansion, our need for acquiring and developing Merchandising leaders and other key positions to support the business grows as well. LOGISTIC ANALYST (INVENTORY & REPLENISHMENT)
Responsibilities:
Work with suppliers to achieve departmental goals for in-stocks, inventory, lead time and on-time performance
Run queries, generate and distribute daily/weekly/monthly analysis reports on POS, inventory management and order forecasting
Communicate with Import Replenishment team and Global Procurement teams on exceptions
Track in-stock and inventory performance
Research and coordinate the resolution of replenishment opportunities
Perform necessary administrative and clerical duties associated with replenishment
Train and educate Replenishment suppliers to monitor POS and inventory by using Retail Link and replenishment tools
Requirements:
Bachelor degree
Prior knowledge of import/export process and merchandising experience is beneficial
Knowledge of Wal-Mart item file, Product Order systems and Global Procurement systems is beneficial
Excellent organizational and analytical skills. A self-starter with self-motivation and initiative
Good command of English/Mandarin and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Overseas fresh graduate in Supply Chain Management or Logistic will be considered
ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER
Responsibilities:
Purchase order execution and follow up, including, verify/ key-in quote sheets, follow up with buyers and suppliers, monitor shipment fulfillment
Coordinate incoming and outgoing sample with proper sample procedure
Coordinate & support merchandiser throughout the buying trips, such as buying trip arrangement and participation
Ensure correctly Key-in data into Retail Link and check & update data status in the system
Other responsibilities assigned by Merchandising Manager
Requirements:
Bachelor degree with at least 2-3 years experience in a multinational company, in merchandising function is a plus
Good command of English/Mandarin and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A good team player
Able to work under pressure and willing to handle paperwork
Overseas fresh graduate will be considered
MERCHANDISER
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects on merchandising process in an international environment and to work closely with different departments locally and overseas
Involved in sourcing products from the Greater China Area for export to overseas markets
Proactively develop the category of product handled or new programs and explore new direct import opportunity
Lead and work with overseas buyers independently throughout the buying trip, provide necessary analysis for buyers’ buying reference
Ensure smooth order execution and on time shipment by adopting necessary control and coordination
Provide leadership and develop the Assistant Merchandiser
Requirements:
Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing, trading, buying offices, and preferably merchandising
With strong desire in obtaining exposure in multi-national business, working with people from different nationalities and gaining full visibility of supply chain process
High motivation and flexibility
Willing to take challenges with team spirits
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Good command of English/Mandarin and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
MERCHANDISE QUALITY ENGINEER
Electronic; Automobile Accessories; Houseware & Chemical; Electrical; Household Appliance; Hardware
Responsibilities:
Participate in buying trip with buyer and GP Merchant to ensure committed items match with retail market requirements
Establish proper communication channels for legal, safety and quality requirements of each retail market
Manage sample approval together with GP Merchants and ensure it conforms to the standards, specifications and expectations of Wal-Mart, and give recommendations of improvement when necessary
Evaluate the technical competence / capability of a supplier/manufacturer
Prepare technical guideline; conduct technical training to GP merchants, QA auditors/inspectors and suppliers to increase the transparency/understanding of quality requirements
Participate in product inspection or factory assessment to ensure the technical & quality requirements have been carried out properly in the field
Requirements:
University/College graduate in relevant engineering studies (e.g., electronic, mechanical, chemistry, industrial etc) with minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience
In-depth technical knowledge of responsible product category (lab test, QA experience with leading manufacturer/supplier/buying office), relevant manufacturing experience is a plus
Understand merchandising processes and techniques
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Sense of major cost factors
High level of integrity and business ethics
Organizational skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Good command of English/Mandarin and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
